2025 JUNE LONG WEEKEND

An ACTION PACKED WEEKEND OF DANCE

This is when our entire Coffs Harbour dance community

comes together, in what is truly the highlight in our MID-YEAR curriculum calendar.

For current HIP HOP students only

CHDES Groups Saturday 7th - Monday 10th June

 

(CHDES block is from Saturday 4th May - Monday 12th June 2025)

 

This performance opportunity is part of our syllabus extension coaching stream and is made possible by our cārnivalé OPENSTAGE PROJECT initiative.

 

Unlike our other eisteddfods just our Accelerated Performance Experience SHOWBiZ troupes participate in,

we open this eisteddfod entry to our entire hip hop student body as it is held in our hometown.

 

Participating students will come together to rehearse and then perform at the dance eisteddfod on a professional stage at Coffs Harbour University.

As well as a time commitment from your family, there is a cost involved for four (4) rehearsals at $20 per rehearsal session.

​

Tentative rehearsal dates set aside for the rehearsals are Saturday 4th May, Saturday 10th May, Saturday 17th May and Saturday 24th May 

Performance date/s are inclusive dates are 7th-9th June

the CHDES Eisteddfod Group performances are  held over the three days of the long weekend

and depending on the age division your child is in, will depend on which day/days your child will perform ​

(as soon as the program is released we can confirm your day/s and give an "guesstimate" of the time of performance)

 

There is also $30 costume flat rate hire fee

* discount applies for participation in additional routine/s  (see below)​​

PERMISSION
I give permission for my child to participate in the coffs harbour dance eisteddfod hip hop performance module

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
I understand that this is a one-month block performance schedule and by committing to the eisteddfod performance/s; that my child may need to attend rehearsals, dress rehearsals/photography sessions in the month leading up to and on the day/days of their Eisteddfod performance/s over the long weekend in June.

COSTS
I understand that there will be four rehearsal/performance weekends involved held at a cost of $20 each weekend (Including the performance weekend) = $80 and this will be added to my Term 2 fees and I acknowledge CHDES charges an entry fee into the eisteddfod auditorium to view on the performance day/s.

COSTUME/S
I understand that there will be a costume for my child for each dance and a fee of $30/routine (hire/laundering/bagging) will be added to my Term 2 fees; if in the case that I am notified I am responsible for sourcing my child’s costume in whole or in part then I will receive a full or partial refund amount. * if my child is in two (2) or more routines the hire fee for the 2nd and subsequent costume/s will be reduced to $25/routine
